GETTING TO ZANZIBAR
DOMESTIC FLIGHTS (within Tanzania)
The main airlines operating domestic flights to Zanzibar include:

Precision Air – offers daily flights from Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, and Arusha.

Air Tanzania – the national carrier, with connections from Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, and Kilimanjaro.

Auric Air – ideal for short routes from destinations such as Serengeti, Arusha, or Dar es Salaam.

Flightlink – connects Dar es Salaam and Arusha with Zanzibar.

Coastal Aviation – popular for internal routes to Zanzibar.

ZanAir – based on the island of Zanzibar, with flights to Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Pemba, and tourist destinations such as Saadani and Selous.

INTERNATIONAL ROUTES
Several international carriers operate direct flights or flights with one stop to Zanzibar:

Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways – frequently used to reach Zanzibar (e.g., via Nairobi or Addis Ababa).

Air France – operates direct flights from Paris.

Condor – currently has or will soon have direct connections from Frankfurt.

Neos – flies directly from Milan and Rome.

KLM – operates direct flights from Amsterdam.

Oman Air – connections from Muscat.

Other sources suggest that Emirates, Turkish Airlines, KLM, and others may also reach Zanzibar with one or more stopovers.

ELECTRICITY
220- 240 V AC, 50Hz. We provide adapters. Electricity comes under the ocean from Tanzania. It is always useful to travel with your own torch.

MONEY
Zanzibar uses Tanzanian Shillings (TZS).
Please note that there is now an ATM in Jambiani.
In addition, you will find banks and several ATMs in Paje, located just 7 km from our village. Zanzibar accepts USD notes issued from 2006 onwards.
We still recommend carrying enough Tanzanian Shillings for your stay, especially for small shops and local services.
5.
PAYMENT
To guarantee your reservation in USD we ask a 50% deposit. You will get an email from DIRECT PAY secure online system.
Accommodation are due 30 days before arrival.
Food and drinks the last day of your stay in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS). If you want to pay cash in EURO or USD check our average rate at the office. If you want to pay by CREDIT CARD VISA/ MASTERCARD, amount will be in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS).

TOURIST VISA AND ZANZIBAR MANDATORY TRAVEL INSURANCE (ZIC)
You can pay at the airport or arrange payment online before your arrival.

You need to provide your international driving license. Zanzibar drive on the left and the majority of cars are automatic.

Food, drinks, excursions & taxi are in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS).

We can book a taxi for you when you arrive at the airport, 50 USD to pay directly to KACHO DREAMS TRAVEL AND TOURS, 1hour driving to Jambiani.

In case of check in after 21h30, our security MASSAI will show you the room and give you the key.

At check out, please take your shampoo or other plastic containers home as Zanzibar is struggling with recycling.

You are welcome to leave your luggage at the office after check out & stay with us at the Beach Bar
Outside shower is at the pool side and also at the Beach Bar.
